Hoya Krimson Queen

Hoya Krimson Queen, also known as Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Queen', is an enchanting tropical plant celebrated for its glossy, variegated foliage and clusters of delicate, star-shaped flowers. Its leaves feature striking shades of green, creamy white, and pink, creating a mesmerizing visual display. With its trailing growth habit and charming blooms, it adds a touch of elegance and allure to any indoor space.

Care Guide:
1. Watering: Allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings, then water thoroughly. Avoid overwatering, as Hoya Krimson Queen is susceptible to root rot. During the winter months, reduce watering frequency to prevent waterlogged soil.
2. Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations, as it prefers stable conditions.
3. Fertilization: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) to support healthy growth and occasional flowering.
4. Pruning: Trim back leggy stems and remove any yellow or damaged leaves to promote bushier growth and maintain its ornamental appearance.

Light Requirements:
Place the Hoya Krimson Queen in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially morning sunlight, but avoid intense afternoon sun, as it may scorch the leaves. Insufficient light can result in reduced variegation and flowering.

Soil Type:
Plant in a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A blend of peat moss, perlite, and compost provides good drainage and moisture retention while supplying essential nutrients for healthy growth. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
